I'm a Christian. Hi! *waves excitedly*
But I'm sure most of you already knew that. I'm also guessing many of you already have a general understanding of what Christianity is... so how about I attempt to define my beliefs/this weekend(Easter) a bit differently than how you may normally hear it.
I believe that there is more to this world than meets the eyes (Just like transformers).

I believe that society has long turned away from holding to what is good and fallen to the lure of an unholy ideal without even realizing it (Just like The Matrix).

I believe that a saviour for the people doesn't have to be born with super powers (Just like Iron Man or Batman).

I believe that mankind was able to see redemption through the sacrifice of a hero (Just like Bruce Willis in Armageddon, William Wallace, Maximus, Han Solo or Terminator).

I believe that this weekend signifies a more important than normal post on this blog.
There you have it: My explanation of Christianity using modern day references. Of course, the redemption for Christians is through Jesus sacrificing Himself on the cross, which Easter represents.
My faith and beliefs are one of the greatest joys of my life. It is often a guiding factor in how I make my decisions, why I smile and why I try to not be prone to what is the norm for the rest of society.
I still fall short and I'm in no way perfect (being perfect isn’t what Christianity is about, btw), but that comes with the understanding that I'm still an imperfect human following what I believe is a perfect faith.
This weekend for me signifies one of the key events in my faith as a Christian. This weekend is Easter.
I challenge you to think about 'life' this week, even if it’s just for a bit... and wonder if there really is more than what meets the eye.
